What are you looking forward to in terms of huge movies? what summer blockbuster huge budget movie are you going to see this summer? dont give me any little independent movies, im talking about huge multi million dollar special effects armageddon type stuff. movies that make the GDP of a small african country. im talking about johnny depp as jack sparrow, superhero, huge robots type movies
for me it is the new POTC, Transformers, Captain America, Thor, Green Lantern, Cowboys and Aliens in that order |
| I long ago quit looking forward to "huge" and "hyped" movies, because without fail they have massively disappointed me. Now the more hyped and huge it is the faster I run away from it. |
Poll: Ten movies that a huge film buff would like? I'm buying a few movies for my boyfriend's birthday (which is in 4 days), and he's a huge movie buff. He's sold most of his favorite movies that are on DVD, and he plans to get them on Blu-ray. The thing is, I don't remember any of them. Any suggestions? |

What kind/model camera do the blockbuster movies use? & Why a huge difference in quality to low budget films? i always notice a big difference between independent movie makers who normally have low budgets and blockbuster movies with huge budgets.
what kind of camera and model do the blockbuster films with big budgets use?
iam not talking bout the wow of explosions and graphics. iam talking about if both are filming the same scene of a girl crossing the road. why does the high budget blockbuster one always looks wayy better than the low budget one but it is the same scene of just a girl crossing the road?
it must be the camera right? |
Depends.
It's called CINEMATOGRAPHY.
Cameras sometimes come into play.
'Real" movies depending on many factors are shot on 35mm film using Panavison or Arriflex camera. SOME movies are now being shot in HD using cameras made by Panavision and Sony.
BUT using either camera film or HD , you can still make a simple scene look good or bad.
A good part of it is lighting. If you spend hours lighting a city block it will look a lot better than just going out and shooting with nothing. BUT again that isn't to say that a naturally lit shot can't be great looking as is. That's where the art of cinematography comes in and budget.
A big budget scene where they have days to shoot one scene will usually look much better than something that had only half a day to shoot.
Also lets face it, some wanna-be with no money and a $5000 HD cam has less a chance of having a really good looking movie then a real crew with real cameras and money. |
How can these women in porn movies fit huge things up their rear? I don't want any nasty answers, this is a serious question. I am totally grossed out by it and really think that this is not real. I mean, medically wouldn't they rupture their colon or even their large intestine? I believe that your colon is only a few inches long, and in some of these movies you see some girls with a man's arm in there. That would be medically dangerous, right? |
Daniel is right. Practice..practice..practice.
Of course, this is only to a point. Yes, you can definitely rupture the tract. In reality though, you have much more "room to spare" back there then..well, I don't want to get scolded by anyone on YA, but medically speaking, "the other place" has much less distance and ability to accommodate larger objects as far as depth. Think of a colonoscopy...they put nearly 2.5 feet of scope in your rear end. Diameter wise, yes, you could definitely get a tear or fissure, OR WORSE. |

Why do cars always look so huge in the movies? I mean when you see a person leaning on the side of a car, the car always looks HUGE! But in real life, they look much smaller. Why is this so? Is this some optical trick thingy or something? |
| You know that saying "the camera adds ten pounds"? Same thing, its an optical trick. |
Will they make huge epic movies like before? Lord of the rings is a masterpiece and the 3 movies were in the top ten highest grossing movies of all time, and i feel as if they aren't making theses massive movies any more.
Sure you could say Harry Potter or Pirates of the Caribbean but theses seem so guyish and slow in comparison.
So what do you think? will Hollywood adapt a novel or a Original idea some time in the future as big as Lord of the rings? |
| No, those epics are way too expensive for an economy right now not to mention those movies were good movies that didn't rely on all the BS and special effects. But to be honest with you Lord of the Rings isn't really an epic it's more of a fantasy tale. An epic is something like Lawrence of Arabia, Ten Commandments, Dr. Zhivago. As for making those classical epics those won't go anymore because it costs too much. |
